The location was central, near Bedale, the railway, Middleham, Leyburn and Masham, the Dales in future and the Dales National park. It also was in the nicely set out restaurant. Coffee/tea making facilities, a multi-channel television and a radio in our king room were useful during stay. We had a tasty and amazing meal in the morning and some gorgeous food at the main bar.

The family suite offers an excellent layout with a lounge area, a spacious double room, a twin room, and a large bathroom. The accommodation is dog-friendly, allowing you to relax while your pet enjoys the scenic countryside walks steps away from the door.
WiFi connectivity was inconsistent. It worked perfectly in the pub area but was spotty in the room, which might be a bother for some, though it didn't affect our stay. While the restaurant food was highly praised, it's worth noting that while the public areas are inviting, they can get crowded during peak hours, which may not appeal to those seeking a quieter dining experience.

Delighted with the spacious family suite that provided ample amenities for our group. The dining experience stood out, with excellent evening meals and a huge breakfast served with a beautiful view over the valley. Although the room was clean, a few more toiletries would have enhanced our stay, and the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable at times.

The family suite was spacious and cozy, and mealtime was a delight-fabulous food that left me wanting seconds. Oh, and the dog-friendly vibe was a bonus!
Though the dining room was lovely, the bar was a bit of a dog show-literally! Guess they haven't read the memo about 'dog-free' dining!

This is a quiet village venue with lovely views over open farmland. The room was comfortable and spacious. We had a tasty, hot dinner and would like to have sampled more on the dinner menu but other commitments intruded.
